Youshiko YC9350 Premium Wireless Weather Station

Where some stations cram every possible reading onto a busy screen, the Youshiko YC9350 takes the opposite view — its selling point is a premium, uncluttered display you can read in an instant. Indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, the weather trend and the time are laid out cleanly, with a blue LED backlight for a clear read in low light. If you have ever squinted at a crowded console, the appeal of a station designed first and foremost around legibility is obvious.

The clock is the other half of its "always right" character. As the official UK version it receives the MSF radio time signal and sets itself to the exact time, then switches between GMT and BST on its own each spring and autumn — you never set it and never adjust it. Unusually, it also offers an optional ±12-hour time-zone setting, so if you regularly want to see another country's time — for family abroad or work across zones — you can, while the underlying radio accuracy stays intact.

It is a capable station as well as a clear one. An animated weather trend and a frost (ice) alarm give you warning of a cold snap, the min and max readings show how the day has moved, and it supports up to three wireless sensors — one YC9311 sensor is included — so you can extend it to a greenhouse or a second room later. Youshiko recommend siting the sensor sheltered and giving the readings a few hours to settle, after which it becomes the calm, dependable, easy-to-read station on the wall.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes this the "premium" Youshiko?

Its focus is clarity — a clean, uncluttered layout with a blue LED backlight designed to be read at a glance, rather than packing in extra readouts. If a legible, calm display matters more to you than a long feature list, that's what this model is built around.

What's the optional time-zone setting for?

The clock sets itself to UK time from the MSF radio signal, but you can optionally offset it by up to ±12 hours to display another region's time — handy if you regularly check the time somewhere abroad. The radio accuracy still underpins it.

Does the clock really never need setting?

Correct — as the UK version it receives the MSF time signal and sets itself to the exact time, then switches automatically between GMT and BST in spring and autumn. For good reception, use quality batteries and keep it clear of thick walls and electrical interference.

Can I add more sensors later?

Yes. One YC9311 wireless sensor is included, and the display supports up to three sensors, so you can extend it to monitor a greenhouse or another room down the line.

How long does delivery take?

Your delivery estimate for your address is shown at checkout before you pay. Delivery is free UK-wide on orders over £30, with a flat £3.99 charge under that.

Youshiko YC9350: clarity, radio time and a settled setup

3 min read Skygauge

The YC9350 is about clarity and accurate time; a careful first setup delivers both.

Let the clock lock on overnight

Leave it near a window for the first night so it can receive the MSF time signal and set itself. After that it stays exact and handles the clock changes, so you can place it anywhere you like.

Keep the display out of direct light

The clear screen reads best out of glare. Site it where light doesn't fall straight on it, and the premium layout and blue backlight stay easy to read day and night.

Site the sensor and let it settle

Mount the wireless sensor sheltered, out of driving rain and direct sun, then give the station a few hours before trusting the readings. Watch the trend and frost alarm on cold evenings to stay a step ahead of the weather.
